Orientation Week 2026
Before welcoming our students back, our entire faculty came together for several days of intensive training and preparation to launch this new school year with excellence.
Guided by our Director of Teaching & Learning, Lauren Hegarty, our team explored powerful pedagogical strategies rooted in Northshore Learning’s 5 P’s of Effective Environments for Learning & Well-Being: Presence, Positive, Proactive, Predictable & Productive.
This was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect as a team, share insights, and grow together professionally, reaffirming our commitment to educational excellence and continuous innovation.
We begin this new year with purpose, enthusiasm, and the highest standards, ready to inspire every student who walks through our doors.
CG Early 2000s Meeting
From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, former staff and faculty of Colegio Granadino came together for a truly special event: the "CG Early 2000s Reunion."
This gathering brought together nearly 35 former colleagues who worked at the school between 2000 and 2005, during the years when Dr. Michael Adams led the institution as Director. After 25 years, and lives built across different countries around the world, they returned to Manizales to reconnect with a place, and a community, that shaped who they are today.
Among the attendees were former elementary and secondary principals, teachers from various grade levels, administrative staff, and general support personnel, all united by shared memories and lasting friendships.
The group toured the city, rediscovering the streets and places that once framed their everyday lives. They found Manizales more beautiful than ever, transformed and thriving, yet home to the same warm, kind, and welcoming people they remembered.
Colegio Granadino proudly welcomed them back to the campus where their stories once unfolded. Walking through halls that had witnessed so much progress, admiration was written across every face. Each corner of the renovated school held a memory still close to their hearts.
These 35 individuals, once part of Colegio Granadino`s story, returned to a place that gave them growth, friendship, and unforgettable lessons both personal and professional. They left with grateful hearts, carrying nostalgia and joy in equal measure, and a deep admiration for an institution that changed their lives forever.
Thank you for coming home. Colegio Granadino will always be your house, and you will always have a place here. 💙
